Biography

Mark brings over twenty years of recreational sports and student development experience to the role. Most recently the Director of Campus Recreation at Loyola University Chicago, he developed and oversaw all programs for campus recreation, including fitness, intramurals, club sports, aquatics, instructional programs, and outdoor experiential programs. He also coordinated and provided direction for the Department’s strategic plan as well as Loyola’s multi-million dollar Campus Recreation and Student Development facility renovation and expansion project.

Prior to his tenure at Loyola, Mark was the Director of Recreational Sports at Seattle University. He also served Western Kentucky University for over a decade in various recreational sports capacities. He began his career in Campus Recreation at Gannon University, where he also coached football.

With over two decades of involvement in the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA) through numerous committees and appointments, Mark recently served as the Director of the NIRSA Flag Football National Championship and Chair of the NIRSA Flag Football Work Team.

Mark hails from Erie, Pennsylvania, and received a B.A. from Mercyhurst College. He holds an M.A. in Parks and Recreation Administration from Western Kentucky University.
